Early Richard Avedon

The early work of Richard Avedon has been getting a lot of attention lately because of the Avedon Fashion Photography 1944 – 2000 exhibit at The International Center of Photography.  “Dovima and Elephants” is also being featured at The Metropolitan Museum of Art as part of the “Model as  Muse” exhibit in the Costume Institute.  Here are a few of my favorite early Avedon photographs.
