    kinda hurts to see such a beautiful ship in the state it is now… but great pictures all around though…

    Yeah these ships where amazing! I had the opportunity to get on board the the SS Independence which was a sister ship to the SS United States. It had been out of commission for about 4 years and it looked like it had been abandoned for decades. I guess being on the ocean and the salt water takes a toll on these ships. Will post the pictures from the Independence if I can find them.
