Apollo Mission Moon Plaques 1969 – 1972

October 12, 2009

All of these plaques, with the exception of the Apollo 13 plaque, were left on the moon by Apollo mission astronauts. They are awesome. These images are from NASA’s official website.

Interesting – Nixon’s signature is on the first and last missions only.

There were 3 more missions planned, but alas, public apathy canceled them. As a boy, I wanted them to go to the Moon forever.
